To discern wood influence precisely she put same wine in different barriques. Luxembourg oak she says grows slower has smaller pores allowing less oxygen to wine. Thus wood noticeable first year but finds fine balance over time. The 2019 shows exactly that a Pinot with "shoulders" full structure powerful but not heavy.​ A wine with density without being loud. Barrique aging gave delicate smoky note and tight almost silky texture. Classic Pinot Noir aromatics remain present clear red fruit fine spice elegant line. Corinne stresses Luxembourg red wines often underestimated. No talk of "green" or "unripe" here.
